John is the founder of a Hope Lutheran Church Central American Mission Team and has lead eight mission teams to Central
America working in Nicaragua and El Salvador for Habitat International. John is passionate about his mission work.

John is a member of numerous organizations including the President's Club and Rocket Club of the University of Toledo, Toledo
Road Runners, Toledo Team Triathalon Club, and Westowne Tennis Club. He has also volunteered for Mobil Meals of Toledo,
Cherry Street Mission, Salem Church Feed Your Neighbor Program and numerous other community and charitable events.

John is married to Elizabeth A. Wagoner, who is the Director of Curriculum for the Maumee, Ohio school systems. He has two
children, Stephanie and Jay, and a step-daughter, Christine.
